On March 25th 2012 I competed in my 6th Ironman Triathlon. For those who don't know an Ironman Triathlon included a 3.8km swim followed by a 180km bike ride and finishes with a 42.2km run, not exactly a fun day and I still don't know why I do it when people ask me.

A study conducted by a team of Medical doctors in the US found that people who suffer from oesteoarthritis (OA) of the knee appear to gain lasting relief from Swedish massage. The findings suggest that doctors may want to advise arthritis patients to add massage to the treatments they are already using, like anti-inflammatory drugs.

Ironman arrives in Melbourne, the sporting capital of Australian. The course features a 3.8km swim in Frankston; a 180km bike ride on the EastLink Tollway and a 42.2km run along Port Philip Bay towards the finish at the St Kilda Baths. 75 Knoa qualifying slots are on offer.

Strength train and avoid stready-state aerobic exercise if you want to increase muscle size and improve body composition. Unless your main goal is to run an endurance race - or a cycling, swimming or rowing competition - you shouldn't be doing any steady-state aerobic training because it will compromise your body composition gains.
